MSU's Formaldehyde Safety Program Formaldehyde Safety Program (PDF)
Formaldehyde safety training is required for faculty and staff who teach and/or work in human and veterinary anatomy labs, and related anatomy spaces, where formalin preserved tissue is used and stored. Training may be required for faculty and staff who work with formalin preserved tissue or formalin in clinical or research areas, depending on the amount of formalin in the area and the potential for exposure above 0.1 ppm. Training fulfills the general training requirements under the MIOSHA Occupational Health Standard for Formaldehyde, Part 306.
