The EHS Chemical Safety Team is excited to announce the launch for the ChemInventory Software to a larger user group starting in November 2021. Over the following months, the software utilization will be expanded and required for all campus users.
The ChemInventory software is currently being used by the Department of Chemistry to support inventory management of chemical containers within laboratories. The software brings together multiple sources of Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) data to provide an up-to-date snapshot of a chemical's known hazards and gives definitions, precaution codes and descriptions, and GHS pictograms. The data is easily managed through a straightforward user interface that across system functionality of adding containers, requesting orders, and viewing container information.
