The FDA advises against using 9 different hand sanitizers
The Food and Drug Administration has advised against the use of any hand sanitizer manufactured by Eskbiochem SA de CV in Mexico, due to the potential presence of methanol. Methanol can be toxic when absorbed through the skin or ingested and should not be used in hand sanitizer. The following products have been identified by the FDA as being manufactured by Eskbiochem:
If your department or unit has any of these products stop using them immediately and contact EHS for disposal by submitting a Hazardous Waste Pickup request through the EHS Safety Portal (waste ID number 3811).
